Put out every lantern in the moonlit garden with Dallae, its lantern keeper. Pressing a cell flips it and its four neighbours, with lit lanterns drawn as flowers and dark cells as crescent moons. Every board is made by pressing cells on an all-dark garden, so it can always be solved, and the par on screen is the exact length of its shortest solution.
How to play
- You start with a 4×4 garden. Tap a cell, or move with the arrow keys and press with Enter or Space; a gamepad uses the D-pad and A.
- The pressed cell and its four neighbours switch between lit and dark. Pressing the same cell twice undoes it, and the order of presses never changes the result.
- Darken every lantern to win. Finish within par without a hint for three stars, or within four presses over par for two.
- When stuck, press Hint (H). It presses the first move of a shortest solution for the board as it stands now, up to three times per board.
- Solving a board opens the next garden. After 4×4, 5×5, 6×6 and 7×7 come flower- and crescent-shaped gardens, where empty lawn cells cannot be pressed and never light up.
Strategy tips
- Chase the lights downward. For every lit lantern in the top row, press the cell directly below it, then repeat row by row; the remaining lights gather in the bottom row and the puzzle becomes much simpler.
- Pressing a cell twice is the same as not pressing it. Press a mistaken cell again to undo it, but remember both presses count against your stars.
- Hinted presses count as presses, and a single hint rules out three stars. Each unused hint is worth 50 points at the end.
