오티의 과일 플립 guide

A one-touch arcade game: every tap flips Otti's blade upward, and its tip slices fruit targets as it flies forward. Each course needs a set number of cuts (13 to 18) before the final bullseye opens, and hitting hazards marked with ! three times ends the run. There are ten courses, and later ones add bobbing targets and denser hazards.

How to play

  1. When you start, the game picks the first course you have not cleared yet. After all ten are cleared, runs rotate through the courses in order.
  2. Tap the playfield or the flip button, press Space or ↑ on a keyboard, or A on a gamepad. Each press flips the blade once; holding does not repeat.
  3. Time your taps so the blade tip sweeps through a target. A marker above the next target shows whether the blade is above or below it.
  4. Each cut scores 120 times your chain multiplier (up to ×5), and a cut close to the centre adds 80 as a perfect. Failing to cut again within 1.35 seconds, or letting a target pass, breaks the chain.
  5. Reach the bullseye with the quota met to clear the course. Hitting the centre multiplies 250 points by 10, with ×5, ×3 and ×2 further out.
  6. Touching a hazard costs a heart and 80 points, and the third hit ends the run. The run also ends, with the reason shown, as soon as the remaining targets can no longer meet the quota; a failed course is replayed.

Strategy tips

  • Never cut a hazard; flip the blade up and over it. Getting past one cleanly actually earns 60 points.
  • Every course has at least five spare targets beyond its quota. After a miss, re-find the rhythm on the next target instead of rushing.
  • Blade focus, on E or gamepad X, slows the action for about 3.4 seconds, protects your chain and ignores handle hits. It recharges every 12 seconds, so save it for hazard clusters or the run-in to the bullseye.
  • If the handle end hits a target the blade bounces off and loses speed. Time the spin so the tip, not the handle, passes through.
  • The bullseye multiplier depends on the tip's height at impact. Stop tapping rapidly near the end and use one or two flips to bring the tip to the centre line.

Common questions

When does the next course open?

Reaching the bullseye on the current course opens the next one, and your next run starts there. Cleared courses and best scores per course are saved in this browser.

I reached the bullseye but still failed.

The bullseye only opens once you have cut that course's quota of ordinary targets. The quota differs per course, such as 15 on the first, 13 on the second and 18 on the last, so watch the cuts counter on screen.

The blade slowed down and the run ended.

If forward momentum drops too low, the run ends for lost momentum. Every tap restores forward speed, so keep flipping in a steady rhythm.

How do medals work?

Passing 750, 1,800 and 3,200 points in a single run raises your medal to bronze, silver and gold. Reaching gold takes both long chains and a high bullseye multiplier.
