주노의 디노 러너 guide

A runner in which the dinosaur sprints on its own and you dodge cacti, birds, boulders and pits with nothing but jumps and ducks. Your score rises with distance as the speed climbs, and each stage adds one new kind of hazard. Clearing Sprint, Canyon and Marathon unlocks Endless, which has no finish line.

How to play

  1. Choose a stage and the dinosaur waits at the start line. It does not move until your first jump, so tap when you are ready.
  2. Tap the screen or the Jump button, or press Space, ↑, W or gamepad A to jump. Jump over cacti and low-flying birds.
  3. Drag down on the screen, or hold the Duck button, ↓, S or gamepad B, to duck. Ducking in mid-air makes you drop faster.
  4. You score one point per 10 px of distance, and the speed keeps increasing as you go. Day and night switch every 700 points.
  5. Reach 300 points in Sprint, 700 in Canyon or 1,500 in Marathon to clear it for a 100-point bonus and unlock the next stage. A single hit on any obstacle ends the run.

Strategy tips

  • Ducking is the safe way past high-flying birds. They also pass over a standing dinosaur, but jumping underneath one is a crash, so hold off on jumps as a bird approaches.
  • Boulders, from Canyon onward, start rolling toward you once they appear and arrive sooner than they look. Jump a little earlier than you would for a cactus.
  • Pits, from Marathon onward, are gaps in the ground, and running over one drops you in. Any jump clears a pit, so always hop rather than duck in front of one.
  • A jump pressed just before landing is briefly held in reserve. When hazards come in quick succession, press as you come down.
  • Stars are based on jumps. If you use no more than three jumps beyond the number of obstacles passed, you earn three stars, so skip unnecessary jumps.

Common questions

Should I duck or jump when a bird appears?

Low birds still hit you while ducking, so jump over them. High birds can be passed by ducking or simply running underneath. Sprint has only high birds; low birds join from Canyon.

How do I unlock Endless?

Reach 1,500 points in Marathon. Endless has no finish line, mixes cacti, birds, boulders and pits, and keeps your best score.

Can obstacles ever be too close to avoid?

Gaps are set to at least 0.8 seconds at the local speed, and boulders are placed further out by the distance they roll. There is always time to land and read the next hazard.

Can I continue a run after leaving?

Pausing or leaving the tab saves the run in this browser, and you can carry on from the same spot when you return.
