유나의 피시 헌터 guide

Send Captain Yuna's reel submarine into the sea, reverse it once at the depth you choose, and steer the rising hook through schools of fish. Nothing is caught on the way down, only on the way up, so when you reverse and where you drag the hook during the ascent decide every voyage. Each of the twelve voyages has a catch goal, and the gold you settle buys line upgrades that widen your net.

How to play

  1. Press Drop line, Space or Enter and the reel descends on its own. Press the same control once more to reverse at the depth you want. Left alone, it reverses automatically at 1152m.
  2. On the way up, drag left and right, or use A/D or the arrow keys, to move the hook into fish. Any fish the hook passes over sticks to the net.
  3. Press E for target assist, which pulls the hook toward the nearest fish, and Q for sonar, which secures one fish already close to the hook. Sonar works once per voyage.
  4. When the hook reaches the surface the haul is settled. Meeting the voyage's catch goal unlocks the next one, and species values from mackerel at 8G to the abyss ray at 40G, plus bonuses, are paid out in gold.
  5. After your first haul, the preparation screen lets you choose Deep Contract or Wide Net and spend gold on line upgrades. Each upgrade costs the current level × 120G, up to Lv.5.

Strategy tips

  • Depth bonuses only apply when you reverse yourself. At 576m or deeper you get 10% with Wide Net or 20% with Deep Contract, and at 864m or deeper 25% or 35%, but the automatic reversal at 1152m pays nothing, so press just before it.
  • Catches within 1.8 seconds of each other form a chain. A peak chain of 3 or more adds 8G for each step from 3 upward, and each mackerel earns 3G more, so aim for layers where fish bunch together.
  • A dead-centre precision catch adds 4G per fish, and a precision catch on a fast tuna adds another 6G. Puffers have wide catch zones and are handy for keeping a chain alive.
  • From voyage 2, touching a drifting jellyfish on the way up shakes off your latest fish and breaks the chain. Their number grows with later voyages up to five, so slide around their rows as you rise.
  • A haul worth 80G or more earns a 30G contract bonus. Golden-tide voyages 3, 6, 9 and 12 bring more golden bream (26G each), making them good gold runs for line upgrades.

Common questions

How many fish does a voyage need?

Voyage 1 needs three, each later voyage needs one more, and golden-tide voyages add one extra. The goal never exceeds six fish or your net capacity.

What happens when the net is full?

No more fish attach and the reel races back to the surface to settle. Base capacity is six slots; every line upgrade adds two, and the Wide Net plan adds two more.

Is there help if I keep failing?

Once your failed voyages outnumber your clears, an assist level switches on that gently pulls the rising hook toward nearby fish and weakens the current. After three or more failures it gets one step stronger.

What do I lose by restarting a voyage?

Only the current depth, unsettled fish and the sonar charge. Settled gold, line upgrades and voyage records are kept, and when storage is available you can continue an unfinished voyage later.
