리아의 트리플 매치 guide

A tidy-up puzzle: pick exposed picture tiles from a layered pile and send them to the tray below, where three matching pictures vanish together. The tray has only seven slots and the board ends when it fills, so deciding which picture to bring in and when is the whole game. Over twelve levels the number of picture kinds and tiles grows, and padlocked tiles appear from level 6.

How to play

  1. Press Start or choose any of levels 1 to 12 from the level list. Every level is available from the beginning.
  2. Only tiles not covered by another tile can be picked. A picked tile moves to the tray, and three of the same picture clear together.
  3. Picks cannot be undone. If all seven tray slots fill up, the board is lost.
  4. From level 6, padlocked tiles carry a number. Pick that many other tiles and the padlock opens.
  5. Empty both the pile and the tray to win. On a keyboard, arrow keys move between tiles, Enter or Space picks, Home and End jump to the first and last tile, H shows a hint and P or Esc pauses.
  6. Score is 120 per completed set, plus a win bonus (600, rising by 80 with each level) and a bonus for using fewer tray slots, minus 60 for each hint used.

Strategy tips

  • Look first for the third copy of any picture that already has two in the tray. It completes a set and frees slots immediately.
  • Be careful about bringing in new pictures. Singles and pairs of different kinds scattered across the tray use up the free slots fast.
  • If a picture you need is buried, clear the tiles on top of it starting with ones that already have a partner in the tray.
  • Medals depend on the most tray slots you used at any point. Finish at 3 or fewer for three medals, 5 or fewer for two, and any other win earns one; there are 36 across all twelve levels.
  • You get three hints per level, each outlining a good tile for 4 seconds. Using even one caps that board at two medals and costs 60 points, so save them for when you are stuck.

Common questions

Can a board be impossible from the start?

No. Every picture is dealt in exact sets of three, so every board can be emptied. Padlocks are only placed on tiles that cover nothing, so padlocks alone can never stall the board. You only lose when all seven tray slots are full.

What does the number on a padlocked tile mean?

It is how many more picks are needed before that tile opens. Every pick of any tile lowers it, and at zero the tile can be picked like any other.

Do I have to win to reach the next level?

No. All levels are open from the start, so you can choose any of them at any time. To retry a lost level, press Restart for a fresh board at the same level.

Will I lose my board if I close the game?

Every pick is saved automatically, so you return to the same board and tray. If you choose another level mid-board, the game asks before discarding the current one.
