Daon's Jelly Blocks guide

Drop jelly-block pieces onto an 8×8 board and pop every row or column you fill completely. Three pieces arrive together and new ones only come once all three are placed, so the order you play them matters as much as where. Pieces cannot be rotated, and the run ends the moment none of your remaining pieces fits anywhere.

How to play

  1. Choose Classic (an endless high-score chase) or the Daily puzzle. Each mode keeps its own best score.
  2. Drag a piece onto the board. On touch screens the piece floats a little above your finger so you can see where it lands. You can also tap a piece to select it, tap a cell to preview, and tap the same cell again to place.
  3. The preview shows the cells the piece will fill and which lines that move will pop. Spots where the piece does not fit are rejected, so check the preview before you drop.
  4. Each placed piece scores one point per cell. Clearing lines adds 20 points for one, 60 for two, 120 for three and 200 for four at once.
  5. Clearing on back-to-back moves builds a combo multiplier (up to ×6) on the line bonus, and emptying the whole board adds 300 points.
  6. Keyboard: 1·2·3 pick a piece, Q·E cycle pieces, arrow keys or WASD move, Enter or Space place. Gamepad: D-pad moves, A places, X or RB selects the next piece.

Strategy tips

  • A single move that clears nothing resets the combo to zero. Prepare two or three nearly full lines and pop them on consecutive moves to stack the multiplier.
  • Always keep one open area where a 3×3 square or a five-cell bar can land. Spreading pieces evenly and then getting stuck with a big piece is the most common way to lose.
  • Place the most awkward of your three pieces first and save the small one- and two-cell pieces for patching the last gaps.
  • Past 1,200 points the game is less and less likely to hand you three pieces that are guaranteed to fit together. Keep the board emptier as your score climbs.
  • 500 points earns one star, 1,500 two stars and 3,000 three stars. Three stars usually needs both multi-line clears and combos.

Common questions

When does the run end?

When none of the pieces you still hold fits anywhere on the board. A freshly dealt set of three always includes at least one piece that fits as long as a single empty cell remains.

How is the Daily puzzle different from Classic?

The Daily puzzle's piece order is fixed by the date in Korean time, so restarting on the same day begins with the same first pieces. Restarting Classic switches to a different piece stream.

How is the combo bonus calculated?

Each consecutive clearing move raises the combo by one, and that move's line bonus is multiplied by the combo count (capped at 6). The per-cell points and the 300-point board-clear bonus are not multiplied.

Do I lose my board if I close the game?

Your board is saved after every move, and reopening the game restores it in a paused state. Press Esc, P or the pause button to stop at any time.
