Popo's Umbrella Bounce guide
An arcade game where you move rain-garden keeper Popo left and right, bounce falling blue light drops off the umbrella, and use the rebounds to light the three lanterns at the top. A drop that meets the umbrella's centre flies straight up, while one that meets an edge flies off at an angle, so where you catch it is how you aim. Each map gives you 30 seconds to light every lantern the required number of times while keeping violet storm drops off the umbrella.

How to play
- On the start screen choose Story (12 maps) or Daily (3 maps). In Story you can pick any map you have already unlocked as your starting map.
- Drag across the garden or hold the large Left and Right buttons to move Popo. On a keyboard use the arrow keys or A/D; on a gamepad use the left stick.
- Slide the umbrella under a blue drop to bounce it. Catch it on the edge facing a dark lantern and the drop flies there and lights it. On maps 1 to 3 a dotted line shows where a catch right now would send it.
- A lantern is complete once it has been lit as many times as the dots under it: once on maps 1 to 4, twice on 5 to 8 and three times on 9 to 12. Watch the Lanterns counter at the top.
- Fill all three lanterns to earn the remaining seconds × 10 and move on to the next map. Finish before all 6 hearts are gone or the 30 seconds run out.
- Pause with P, Esc or the gamepad Start button. After the final map, the result screen shows your score, bounces and perfect catches.
Strategy tips
- A dead-centre catch scores 160 and any other catch 100. Each consecutive catch adds 30 more, up to +150, so avoid storm hits and misses that break the chain.
- A drop sent into a lantern that already shows ✓ is worth only 100. Change your angle toward a dark lantern whose dots are still empty.
- From map 3, golden ★ drops add 200 just for catching them and light a lantern twice. Aim them at a lantern with two or more empty dots.
- From map 4, wind pushes drops sideways and they bounce back off the walls. Check the '← wind' or 'wind →' tag beside the lantern counter and wait on the side the wind is blowing toward.
- From map 7 storms can fall in pairs, and from map 9 the umbrella gets narrower. Blue drops only cost a heart on every second miss, so late on, dodge storms first instead of chasing every drop.
Common questions
What costs a heart?
A violet storm drop touching the umbrella costs one heart, and every second blue or golden drop that falls past you costs one more. A storm drop that falls without touching the umbrella costs nothing.
Do hearts and time carry over between maps?
Every new map starts with 6 hearts and 30 seconds; only the score carries over. Clearing a map saves the next one as unlocked, so you can start from it later on the start screen.
How is Daily different?
You play three maps set for the date in a row. The first needs each lantern lit once, the second needs two lights each and adds wind and golden drops, and the third needs three each with paired storms and a narrower umbrella.
Where do I restart after a loss or after leaving?
Restarting from the result screen starts the map you lost on again with a score of zero. If you leave mid-map, the game pauses itself and saves every second, so you continue from the same moment on the same map.
