펄의 버블 공방 guide

Shoot bubbles into a honeycomb grid with Pearl, the bubble workshop's craftswoman. Three or more of one colour pop, and anything cut off from the ceiling falls for double points. A dotted guide shows exactly where each shot will stick, so this is a game of planning rather than guesswork.

How to play

  1. Pick a stage on the start screen. Stage 1 starts with 4 rows in 4 colours; clearing a board opens the next stage, up to stage 5 with 7 rows in 5 colours.
  2. Press and move on the board to aim, then release to fire. The ◀ ▶ and fire buttons, the keyboard's ←→ (or A and D) with Space, Enter or ↑, and a gamepad stick with A all work too.
  3. A shot bounces off the side walls and snaps to the nearest empty cell when it touches another bubble or the ceiling. Three or more of one colour pop.
  4. Each run of shots that pops nothing brings a new row down from the ceiling. If a bubble passes the bottom line, the board is lost.
  5. Remove every bubble to clear the board. The fewer shots you use, the more stars you earn.

Strategy tips

  • The dotted guide traces the full path, wall bounces included, right to the cell where the bubble will stop. Check that the end point touches a matching group before you fire.
  • Popped bubbles are worth 10 points each and dropped ones 20. Breaking the link that holds up a big cluster saves shots and scores more.
  • Swapping (S or ↓, gamepad X) is unlimited. Compare the loaded and next bubbles every turn and fire whichever fits better.
  • New bubbles are only dealt in colours still on the board. Wipe out one colour completely and it stops appearing, which makes the rest of the board easier.
  • The ceiling drops on the 7th shot in a row that pops nothing on stage 1, the 6th on stages 2 and 3, and the 5th on stages 4 and 5. Any pop resets the count to zero.

Common questions

How are stars awarded?

By shots used compared with the bubbles dealt at the start: within 0.8 times that number earns three stars, within 1.4 times earns two. Stage 1 deals 30 bubbles, so three stars means clearing it in 24 shots.

What happens when the ceiling comes down?

A new row in the remaining colours appears at the top and every bubble shifts down one row. If that pushes a bubble past the bottom line, the board ends immediately.

How do I unlock the next stage?

Clear the current stage's board completely. Starting rows grow from 4 on stage 1 to 7 on stage 5, and from stage 3 there are five colours.

What if I leave in the middle of a board?

The board and score are saved after every shot. When you return the board is restored in a paused state and you can keep shooting.
