Sea's Crown Garden guide
A placement logic puzzle in a garden split into colour regions by thick borders. Every row, every column and every colour region must hold exactly one crown, and no two crowns may touch in any of the eight surrounding cells, diagonals included. With gardener Sea you unlock 30 gardens from 5×5 up to 9×9, and every board has been checked to reach its single answer through deduction alone, with no guessing.

How to play
- Pick Garden 1. Gardens 1-4 are 5×5, 5-10 are 6×6, 11-17 are 7×7, 18-24 are 8×8 and 25-30 are 9×9, and solving a garden unlocks the next. The 8×8 Daily garden can be chosen at any time.
- Tap a cell once for an × note, twice for a crown, and a third time to empty it. Dragging from an empty cell paints × over every cell you pass, and dragging from an × cell erases them.
- Crowns that break a rule are marked with red stripes and an exclamation mark. Undo steps back one move at a time.
- Turn on Assist dots to dot every cell that your placed crowns already rule out.
- The garden is solved when the number of crowns equals the number of rows and nothing clashes. Your time and hint count set your score and stars.
- Keyboard: arrows move, Enter or Space cycles the mark, C crown, X ×, Backspace clears, Z undo, H hint. Gamepad: D-pad, A cycles the mark, X ×, B undo, Y hint.
Strategy tips
- Start with the smallest regions. A region of two or three cells has so few crown candidates that the first move often falls out immediately.
- If a region sits entirely inside one row (or column), that line's crown belongs to the region. Mark × on every other cell of that line.
- When two regions are confined to exactly two rows together, no other cell in those rows can hold a crown. On larger boards this paired reasoning is the key technique.
- If putting a crown on a cell would block every cell of some region, that cell cannot be part of the answer. Flip on Assist dots to check, then cross it out.
- Three stars needs a hint-free solve within (board width × 30) seconds: 2:30 on a 5×5 board, 4:30 on a 9×9 board.
Common questions
How do hints help?
You get three per garden. If a crown is misplaced, the hint makes it sparkle first; if you crossed out a cell that belongs to the answer, it points there; otherwise it places the next crown for you.
How are stars and score decided?
A hint-free solve within the target time earns three stars, using at most one hint earns two, and more earns one. The score is board width × 100 plus 3 points per second under the target time, reduced by 20% for each hint.
Is the Daily garden different every day?
It is an 8×8 garden that changes with each date in Korean time. It cycles through 40 pre-checked boards and rotates or mirrors them on every lap, so the same shape does not come straight back.
What happens if I close a garden mid-solve?
Your marks and elapsed time are saved, and reopening resumes in a paused state. The clock does not run while paused. The undo history is cleared when you reopen.
