Momo's Spot the Difference guide

A spot-the-difference game where you compare two nearly identical pictures and tap every difference before time runs out. Six places rotate through the levels (Little town, Seaside, Spring park, Starry night, Little café and Mushroom garden), and every retry draws a new scene, so answers cannot be memorised. Differences show up as a colour, a missing object, an extra object, a small detail, a size, a facing direction or a position.

How to play

  1. Pick a level and start. Photos A and B sit one above the other in portrait or side by side in landscape, with found-spot dots and a time bar at the top.
  2. When you spot a difference, tap it on either photo. A correct tap draws a red circle and a ✓ on both photos.
  3. A tap on a matching area shows an ✕, takes 5 seconds off the clock and costs 20 points, so tap with care. Tapping a spot you have already found costs nothing.
  4. Find them all in time. You score 200 per spot found, 10 per second left and 150 per star.
  5. Clear a level to move on. Levels 1 to 4 hide 5 spots, 5 to 8 hide 6, 9 to 11 hide 7 and the final level 12, Photo master, hides 8, with time limits between 70 and 90 seconds.

Strategy tips

  • The kinds of change grow with the levels. Level 1 only uses colour, missing and extra objects; small details join from level 2, size from level 4, mirror flips from level 6 and small shifts from level 7, so read the level name and decide what to look for.
  • Mirror flips only happen to objects with a visible facing, such as cats, fish, boats, cars, birds and teapots. Check those objects one by one.
  • For a shifted object, the target spot is halfway between where it was and where it moved. If something looks nudged, tap between the two positions.
  • A hint makes one unfound spot sparkle, but it costs 10 seconds and rules out ★★★. Save it for when you are stuck on the last one or two spots.
  • Repeated wrong taps drain the clock five seconds at a time. When unsure, compare the same object on both photos instead of tapping around.

Common questions

What happens when time runs out?

The attempt ends and the spots you missed are marked on the photos. Retrying draws a new scene for the same level, and your unlocked levels and best scores are kept.

How are stars earned?

Finishing with no hints and at least half the time left earns ★★★; using at most one hint earns ★★; anything else earns ★. Even without hints, finishing with less than half the time left gives ★★.

What is the Daily photo?

A one-day scene that opens after you clear level 3. The place and picture are fixed for each Korean calendar day, so everyone solves the same photo: 6 spots in 85 seconds. You can retry, and your best result of the day is kept.

Can I play with a keyboard or gamepad?

Yes. The arrow keys move a crosshair over photo B, Enter or Space taps and H uses a hint. On a gamepad, aim with the stick or D-pad, tap with A, hint with Y and pause with Start.
