Ella's Screw Bloom guide
Pull coloured screws out of the wooden plates stacked on woodworker Ella's bench and pack them three of a colour into boxes. A screw under a higher plate cannot be pulled, and only a plate with every screw removed falls away to reveal what lies beneath, so choosing which plate to empty first decides the bench. The twenty benches grow from 3 plates in 2 colours to 16 plates in 8 colours stacked 7 high, and every one is built with a known solution.

How to play
- Pick an unlocked bench from the stage picker. Clearing a bench opens the next one.
- Tap a screw that no other plate covers to pull it. It goes straight into an open box of its colour; if neither of the two open boxes matches, it waits in the five-slot tray below.
- A box closes when it holds three screws and the next colour in the queue opens. Matching screws in the tray move over by themselves, and Next boxes shows the two colours coming up.
- Pull every screw from a plate and it falls, uncovering the screws underneath. The bench is clear when every screw is boxed and the tray is empty.
- Pulling a screw with no matching box while all five tray slots are full overflows the tray and ends the run. If you still have undos, 'Take back one move' on the result screen lets you carry on.
- Keyboard: arrows move between screws, Enter or Space pulls, H hint, U undo, R restart (with confirmation). Gamepad: D-pad or stick moves, A pulls, X hint, Y undo, Start pauses.
Strategy tips
- Before each pull, compare the two open boxes with the two next boxes. A colour that opens soon can wait in the tray briefly; one far back in the queue ties up a slot for a long time.
- Saving the last screw of a plate lets you choose when to reveal what is under it. The line under the bench name shows how many screws are still covered.
- Three stars need no hint or undo and a tray never fuller than the number shown under the bench name (0 to 4 depending on the bench). Every slot above that target also costs 60 points.
- A hint lights the first screw of a winning line when one exists, or suggests the most promising screw when it cannot find a sure line. You get three hints and three undos per bench, and using two or fewer in total still earns two stars.
- Each pulled screw scores 20, each filled box 40, and clearing the bench adds 300. Hints cost 100 and undos 60 each, and three stars add a 200-point bonus.
Common questions
Does an overflowing tray end the run at once?
Pulling a screw with no matching box while the five-slot tray is full stops the run as a loss. If any of your three undos remain, 'Take back one move' cancels that pull so you can keep going.
Why can't I pull this screw?
A plate on a higher layer covers that screw's cell. Pull every screw from the plate above so it falls, and the screw underneath becomes free.
When does the daily bench open?
It opens once bench 7 is unlocked. Each Korean calendar day selects one of a set of prepared benches, and the day's best stars and score are recorded.
Can I close the game mid-bench?
Pulled screws, boxes and the tray are saved after every move, so the same bench comes back paused when you return. Restarting a bench keeps your unlocked stages and best scores.
