벨라의 봄 그리드 guide

A bomb maze on a lattice of fixed pillars: blast the soft bricks, find the hatch hidden under one of them, and get out before the clock runs out. Bombs burst in a cross but stop at pillars and at the first brick they reach, so walls open one layer at a time. Five stages run from a 13×9 board to 15×11, and from stage 4 hunting patrols that turn toward Vela at junctions join the regular ones.

How to play

  1. Pick an unlocked stage and Vela starts in the top-left corner. Move with the direction buttons, a swipe on the board, the arrow keys or WASD, or a gamepad's D-pad or stick.
  2. Drop a bomb on your square with the middle bomb button, Space or Enter, or gamepad A. Bombs go off after 2.4 seconds; at first the blast reaches two squares (three in stage 3) and you can have two bombs out at once.
  3. Each brick caught in a blast scores 10 and each patrol 100. A blast that reaches another bomb sets it off immediately, so count the whole chain before you step back.
  4. Some bricks hide power-ups. Flame (F) adds one to the blast, Bomb (B) adds one more bomb at a time and Boots (S) speed you up; each stacks up to two times and every pickup scores 50.
  5. Once the hatch is uncovered, walk onto it to escape. You earn 400 plus 5 per second left on the clock, and the next stage unlocks.
  6. Touching a blast or a patrol costs a life and sends you back to the start. Losing all three lives or running out of time ends the stage.

Strategy tips

  • A bomb is a wall that Vela cannot walk through either. Before dropping one, make sure there is a corner outside the blast you can duck into.
  • Patrols cannot pass bombs either. Dropping one in a corridor cuts their route and can pin an approaching patrol inside the blast.
  • You never need to clear the whole board. Once the hatch shows, heading out beats chasing the remaining bricks and keeps more of the time bonus.
  • Three stars need a clear with no lives lost and at least half the time left. Keeping every life, or leaving 30% of the time, earns two.
  • Hunting patrols wear a ! above them and a red ring at their feet. They close in often, so never wait for a fuse in a dead end.

Common questions

Do I lose my power-ups when I lose a life?

No. Blast range, bomb count and speed gained in that stage stay with you, and broken bricks stay broken. Only placed bombs and flames are cleared, and you restart at the spawn blinking and immune to harm for about 1.8 seconds.

Is it safe to drop the first bomb near the start?

Both corridors leading out of the start corner are kept clear one square further than the longest base blast of any stage. Drop it and move straight along a corridor or around a corner and the first bomb can always be escaped.

What changes from stage to stage?

Stages 1 and 2 use a 13×9 board with 2 and 3 patrols, stage 3 a 13×11 board with 4. Stage 4 has 4 patrols on 13×11, two of them hunters, and stage 5 has 5 on 15×11, three of them hunters. Time limits range from 220 to 260 seconds.

Will I lose my run if I switch tabs?

Hiding the tab or leaving the window pauses the game automatically and saves the board in this browser. When you return you can carry on from the same moment.
