Mika Harbor Rescue guide
Help rescue captain Mika draw a boat's route one cell at a time across a 7×7 harbor, picking up every stranded friend before reaching the lighthouse. Fuel is only a few cells more than the shortest full rescue, so one or two detours are enough to run dry. Twelve hand-built harbors are followed by eighteen more with three or four friends and extra currents, for thirty harbors in all.

How to play
- Pick an unlocked harbor. You start with the first one, and each completed rescue opens the next.
- From the boat's cell, tap or drag across neighbouring water cells to extend the route one step at a time. Tapping a water cell further away sails the shortest water path to it, as long as your fuel allows.
- Reefs cannot be crossed, and after entering a current cell the next step must follow its arrow. You may cross water you already sailed, but every step still costs one fuel.
- Passing a friend's cell takes them aboard. The lighthouse stays closed until every friend is on board; reach it then to finish the rescue.
- Take back a wrong turn with 'Undo one step' (Backspace, gamepad B), or press 'Clear route' to redraw from the start. If you are stuck, the Hint button or the H key makes the next cell glow.
- On a PC, the arrow keys move the boat one cell; on a gamepad, use the D-pad. P or Esc pauses.
Strategy tips
- Stars depend only on the length of your final route. Matching the par shown on the result screen gives three stars and one step over gives two, so undoing freely costs nothing as long as the finished route is short.
- Spare fuel over par is 3 cells in harbors 1 to 3, 2 cells in harbors 4 to 10, and just 1 from harbor 11 on. In later harbors, decide the order of pickups before you set off.
- A current arrow forces your next step. Lined up with your plan it becomes a shortcut; pointing the wrong way it carries you away from the friends you need.
- When the hint says the route cannot finish, your position and remaining fuel can no longer complete the rescue. Undo one step at a time and press Hint again to find the fork where you went wrong.
- Score is 100 for the rescue plus 20 for every unused fuel cell and 30 per friend aboard, so a shorter route always scores more on the same harbor.
Common questions
Is running out of fuel a loss?
At zero fuel the boat simply stops and a low-fuel notice appears; the harbor does not end. Undo to shorten the route, or clear it and draw again.
How exactly do current cells work?
After you enter a cell with an arrow, your next step must go in the arrow's direction. If that leads into a reef or off the board, you cannot continue from there and need to undo a step.
Can every harbor be solved?
Yes. Each harbor has a computed shortest route that collects every friend and ends at the lighthouse, and the fuel always allows at least one cell more than that.
Is my route saved?
The route is saved on this device every time the boat moves, so reopening the game restores the same harbor. Unlocked harbors and each harbor's best score are kept too.
