루비의 미로 탐험 guide

Lead explorer Rubi out of hedge-walled garden mazes. Every maze is freshly generated so all paths connect and only one route reaches the exit, and a single input slides Rubi along the corridor to the next junction. From the second maze a locked gate and its key appear, and gems wait in dead ends, so you keep weighing the shortest path against treasure.

How to play

  1. You start with a 6×6 maze. Rubi sets off from the top left and heads for the exit at the bottom right.
  2. Choose a direction by dragging the board, pressing the direction buttons, using the arrow keys or WASD, or the gamepad D-pad or stick. One input slides Rubi until a junction, wall, key, gem or the exit stops her, and holding the input keeps her going the same way after each stop.
  3. From the 9×9 maze a barred gate stands on the route to the exit. It is a wall until you pick up the key, which lies in a dead end on the start side of the gate.
  4. Pink gems in dead ends are worth 150 points each. Visited paths are shaded, which helps you avoid re-exploring corridors you have already checked.
  5. Reach the exit to escape. Score is 1,000 minus 10 for every step over par (at least 100) plus gem points, and clearing a maze unlocks the next size.
  6. The 15×15 and 20×20 mazes start zoomed in on Rubi. Use the magnifier button or Z to switch between the close view and the whole map.

Strategy tips

  • Par is the shortest walk from the start through the key to the exit. Staying within 20% over par earns three stars and within 60% two, so do not wander into dead ends at random when chasing stars.
  • A gem is worth 150 and each extra step costs 10, so a detour of fewer than 15 steps there and back raises your score. The extra steps can still cost a star, so decide first whether you want points or stars.
  • The key sits near the deepest dead end reachable before the gate, measured from the main route. When you meet the gate, search the longest branch you passed first.
  • Holding the next direction while sliding launches Rubi that way the instant she stops. In the time challenge every second left is worth 10 points, so use this to save time.

Common questions

Is the maze different every time?

Yes. Each round builds a new maze, so restarting the same stage changes the walls as well as the key and gem positions.

What is the time challenge?

It is a 12×12 maze to escape against the clock, open from the start. The limit is 30 seconds plus 0.12 seconds per par step, and running out of time ends the attempt.

Why can't I get through the gate?

The barred gate acts as a wall until you have the key. Moving into it shows a locked-gate notice, so search the dead ends on the start side first. Once you hold the key, the Key entry in the summary bar changes to yes.

Can I continue after leaving?

In the regular stages, pausing or leaving the tab saves Rubi's position, step count and collected key and gems on this device, and reopening the game continues from that spot. The time challenge is not saved.
